A year after Ginnie visited her grandmother in Northern Michigan and discovered a dead body, she has finally stopped having nightmares, finally stopped thinking about ghosts, and mostly stopped thinking about the guy who broke her heart. As Ginnie’s first year of college comes to a close, her grandmother announces that she’s getting remarried, and she wants Ginnie and her cousin, Cassie, to be the bridesmaids. Now Ginnie must face the fear and trauma that she has ignored while at college. Because the wedding will take place in Northern Michigan at the same lake where secrets were first uncovered a year earlier.

Ginnie is unsure about heading back to the lake until an unexpected call informs Ginnie of the unthinkable: her grandmother has gone missing. She must find her without involving her family, but what she uncovers opens up a host of secrets her family never wanted to be revealed.
